The motor provides assistance up to 25 km/h and offers a natural, sporty riding experience. The STÆRK SPORT is a special version of the other tandem models. By equipping it in a very sporty manner with mountain bike handlebars and saddles, removing many components (such as lights, fenders, and carriers), and fitting thicker tires, it transforms into a completely different bike. Generally, this SPORT version is 500 euros cheaper than the fully equipped models.

Of course, there are many options available, including the displayed water bottles or different handlebar styles.

This new chain drive system is designed to have less resistance and reduced wear. The chain is as wide as a belt in a belt drive system, but it lasts up to 3 times longer than a belt and is much more affordable (a belt drive on the STÆRK tandem would cost around 1000 euros). The special tooth shape on the gears ensures that the tandem is "engaged" by the chain rather than the chain sliding along it. This makes the system last longer and run smoother, up to 8 times longer than a regular chain.

This is why STÆRK offers this chain as an option on models with Bosch mid-motors and Rohloff hubs. The chain is the most heavily stressed component in these models (powerful motor and two people exerting force). This chain cannot be chosen in combination with a derailleur.

When the tandem is folded, it's sometimes convenient for it to remain in the same position. This often happens naturally when the tandem is securely tied to a rack, but when it's on a stand, it can be useful for it to stay folded as well.

For this purpose, STÆRK has developed the magnetic closure. It automatically clicks into place and keeps the tandem in the folded position. This can be handy when parking in bike storage areas, transporting it in a car or trailer, or simply in your own shed.

This closure can also be easily installed on your existing STÆRK tandem. Please make sure to choose the correct size for mounting, as there are 35mm and 38mm options. If you order this closure with your new bike, it will be installed directly.

The STÆRK D10 has a 10-speed derailleur gear system. It has a standard rear sprocket ratio of 11 to 32 teeth. This is fine for the Netherlands/Flanders. If you need a lighter gear, you can also choose a cassette with 9 to 43 teeth. This also allows you to ride well in hilly areas. Descending with the D10 is made a joy by the hydraulic disc brakes. Like all STÆRK tandems, the D10 also has a folding frame.

The STÆRK D10E is equipped with a 10-gang chain switch and is equipped with a DAPU intermediate motor. The engine ensures a clean and powerful performance up to 25 km/h and a high speed, which ensures that the vehicle arrives directly at the wheel and is not overloaded. With the standard 10 Kettenchaltungen und einer hinteren Kassette von 11 bis 32 Zähnen kommt man in den Niederlanden und Flandern gut zurecht.
